Fillers

As we get older, we start losing collagen, which is responsible for how plump and hydrated our skin appears. Collagen creates a youthful glow, and over time our skin loses this fullness and elasticity. At the top med spa in Lexington, we offer dermal fillers designed to remedy the problem by injecting fillers into your skin to recreate a smooth appearance. Dermal and lip fillers from Lexington’s Bon Bini Aesthetics restore a youthful, collagen-rich appearance in your skin, lips, and under the eyes. Our goal is to give you the tools to step forward with confidence in your beautiful skin. We understand everybody is unique and every person’s skin deserves personalized attention. This is why we pride ourselves on providing the care and detail that only we can provide.

What are dermal fillers?

Dermal fillers are a type of injectable used to treat collagen loss made up of soft, gel-like substances. One of the most common compounds used in dermal fillers is hyaluronic acid (HA), which is common in nourishing skin products. Here at the top aesthetic clinic in Lexington, dermal fillers are injected into the soft tissue at different depths to help fill in facial wrinkles, provide facial volume, and augment facial features.

Why are dermal fillers necessary?

Collagen loss is a natural, inevitable process, but we can use artificial means, like dermal fillers and lip fillers, to help combat this loss. We start losing collagen at age 28 at the rate of 1-2% a year. The goal of dermal fillers is to restore a smoother appearance of those areas that lose structure over time.

What can dermal fillers treat?

Dermal fillers are used to help diminish facial lines and restore volume and fullness to the face. Dermal fillers can be used to treat some of the same concerns that overlap with Botox injectables like wrinkles.

Are dermal fillers safe?

Many dermal fillers are FDA approved for cosmetic uses and many of the ingredients used in these fillers are absorbable and are broken down over time by the body. Some of these compounds include hyaluronic acid, calcium hydroxyapatite, and poly-l-lactic acid (PLLA).

How long do dermal fillers last?

Dermal fillers can last anywhere from 6 months to upwards of 2 years. Dermal fillers are temporary and are broken down by the body over time, which means some routine upkeep is necessary through additional injections.

Types of Dermal Fillers

  • Restylane
  • Restylane provides a natural-looking reduction of the signs of aging to help your skin appear younger by smoothing away wrinkles. We’ve found at our clinic in Lexington that Restylane can also provide subtle lip enhancement as well as add fullness to cheeks and backs of hands. It also lets you maintain flexibility and natural expressions.
  • Juvederm
  • Juvederm is an injectable gel for deep injection into the cheek to correct age-related volume loss. It comes in several varieties including Voluma XC, Vollure XC, Ultra Plus XC, and Ultra XC, each with its specialty. Some gels can be injected into several facial wrinkles and folds as well as lip and lip augmentation. Our med spa in Lexington specializes in Juvederm lip and dermal filler.
  • Radiesse
  • Radiesse is a dermal filler and collagen stimulator used to smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles, including nasolabial folds (creases extending from the nose to the corner of your mouth) as well as for adding volume to the backs of hands. Collagen is the main structural protein in our skin- it's what helps it feel and look tight, taught, and youthful. Radiesse stimulates the body's process of generating collagen and encourages growth, for a more youthful appearance.
  • Versa
  • Treat signs of aging with Versa cosmetic injectables. Correct age-related facial volume loss, wrinkles, and lines with mid to deep injections with results that boast less swelling and improved longevity. It provides a durable gel with an easily molded consistency that lasts longer than most dermal fillers.

  • Active Skin Power
  • Sculptra is the only FDA-approved biodegradable injectable poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) collagen biostimulator that works deep in the skin to improve its inner structure to smooth facial wrinkles.
